about
INFINITE LIGHT
(Electropop Alternative ; AAA)
Denis (producer) gave me this piece with his guiding voice, singing in an 'imaginary' language... Just phrasing and sounds... He asked me to find a corresponding text... The song immediately reminded me of Blondie's 'The Tide is High', and I thought it was very funny and cheeky.
Once I had the first line, the song wrote itself. I imagined how we all pray to our various 'dashboard deities' - and the vision of these beautiful art-deco plastic saviours came to mind.
Denis then asked me to add something about "Blue Beam", a conspiracy theory about NASA and the UN spreading a new religion on earth through powerful technology. .... For me, the song says I'm happy to stick with our Buddhas, Jesus, Ganesha and all the gods we represent on the dashboard of our cars, in the face of a new religion created to suppress all individuality. .... A heavy subject for such a light song... Everything should be taken lightly! (Camille Miller, lyricist)
lyrics
When it gets tough
Tough
We look for common binds
One day down
Deep end swimming
Give me something
To feel alright
Any signs here of life
Laughter rage sex devotion
Cure my mind
I'm diving off the deep end
Be my kamakura buddha
Infinite light
Dashboard deities
Christ the redeemer
On a mountain
Infinite light
Enter the new world order
One storm
The sky is a movie screen
You cry
Blue Beam
One storm
You cry
When the fear's big
Big
We look for all the signs
Feel so down
Deep end swimming
Pray to you tonight
Pray to you tonight
Be my kamakura buddha
Infinite light
Dashboard deities
Christ the redeemer
On a mountain
Infinite light
My pain
You take
Your plastic beauty
Has my faith
Art deco goddess
On my dashboard
Infinite light
Be my kamakura buddha
Infinite light
Dashboard deities
Christ the redeemer
On a mountain
Infinite light
Dashboard deities
Give me ganesha
Son of shiva
Watch over me
Art deco jesus on the dashboard
Be my kamakura buddha
Infinite light
